Longtime Thunb District Scouter Dave Kirby has agreeded to become this years Boy Scout Roundtable Commissioner. Kirby, a recipient of the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver, to mention just a few awards, says he looks forward to working with other Scouters.

     Jim Baker, District Commissioner, made the annoucement at the Fall Kickoff BBQ on August  25th. Kirby is known for his vast Scouting knowledge, creativity and sense of humor. Mike Herrington, Senior District Executive welcomed the news saying Dave will be a great Roundtable Commissioner for Scoutmasters and others who attened  Boy Scout Roundtables on a monthly basis.

    The Thumb Disctrict Roundtables are held every month on the first Tuesday. The sessions include a gathering of Boy Scout and Cub Scout leaders with seperate Roundtable Commissioners for each organization. Kirby will join Janet Pritch who is serving as Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner. The Thumb District Roundtables are held at Cass City United Methodist Church,  which is located at 5100 N. Cemetery Road in Cass City, which is north of the High School on the east side of the road.
