Registration Status for 2009

I would like to share some great news with you all. Currently we have a 2.1% growth for our membership in the district overall. We have accomplished this with 3 less units in our district, which means that the units we currently have are that much larger and stronger! We also have a 1.8% growth in Boy Scouts membership and it should be up over 4% when the remaining 6 new Boy Scouts are loaded into the system. This is a huge accomplishment not only for our district but for the Boy Scout movement itself. I would like to thank those Boy Scout units that have helped me to break ground with a new recruitment plan that involves talking to middle school boy’s about joining Boy Scouts. I firmly believe that the 4% growth we are going to see is because of this new method and our ongoing effort to strengthen our Webelos to Boy Scout transition. With that I would like to ask that all of the Cub Scout Units and Boy Scout units do a membership inventory and make sure that we are 100% clean when it comes to our unit membership, we only need 17 more Cub Scouts to have growth for year end and I know that we have them we just need to put them on!
