District Award of Merit for 2010
In no particular order, please join me in congratulating the three newest District Award of Merit members. This is a great achievement that is awarded in scouting. Congratulations Robert, Mitchell and Dale.
Robert Birch
Robert Birch has been a Den Leader, Cubmaster and Pack Committee Chair. He has been on staff for IOLS/WOLF, University of Scouting, Fun with Son overnights and Council Camporee. In fact, for the Council Camporee in Caseville, Robert made sure much of the equipment needed was there. Has attended Wood Badge for the 21st Century. Robert serves on the Board of Trustees for his church.
Mitchell Oliver
Mitchell Oliver has been a Den Leader, Cubmaster and Scoutmaster. He has served as the Boy Scout District Activities Chair and developed some very good activities for the boys. Mitchell also has been a Merit Badge Counselor. He is a volunteer fire fighter and a State Fire Instructor. He is a Chamber of Commerce member and donates time & equipment for the disabled.
Dale Klimmek
Dale Klimmek is an Eagle Scout, has been on Boy Scout Summer Camp staff and is a Scoutmaster. Dale has attended Wood Badge for the 21st Century and is an OA member. He has been on staff for district lock-ins, fall field games and camporees. Dale has served on the Board of Christian Education and the Board of Youth Ministry for his church.
