Training Corner - May/June 2010

Over the past few years the emphasis on training has grown significantly. In the past, if a leader didn't want to be trained, nothing serious was done about it. In our world, this is a dangerous direction to follow. We tend to change things after a costly incident could have been prevented or after something serious happens. We must be pro-active about our trainings, so we are prepared!

Boy Scout Historical Merit Badge Program

It is hard to believe that just 100 years ago, when a Scout earned the Signaling merit badge, the Scout most likely lived in a home with no telephone and probably no electricity. 100 years later, our world is quite different. Memorial/Tribute Fund May 2010

Words too often inadequately express the sentiment we feel at the death of a friend or the joy we feel when a friend is honored with a special recognition. No finer tribute can be paid than to encourage a boy to live the life of a Scout. A contribution to Lake Huron Area Council Memorial/Tribute Fund is the perfect tribute. It will be put in trust so that it continues to give in perpetuity.
