Welcome to the E-Scouter of the Lake Huron Area Council! Our new website will host a monthly newsletter in place of the printed version. We are excited to come into the century of technology and serve our families better.
To increase awareness of this societal problem and to create even greater barriers to abuse than already exist today in Scouting, the Boy Scouts of America is implementing several important changes to further enhance its Youth Protection policies.
BALOO - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation for Cub Scout leaders is a half-day training event that introduces participants to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping.

It is hard to believe that just 100 years ago, when a Scout earned the Signaling merit badge, the Scout most likely lived in a home with no telephone and probably no electricity. 100 years later, our world is quite different. Lake Huron Area Council now offers four vintage merit badges to help a Scout understand how these two worlds are different but, in many ways, are the same...
The Lake Huron Area Council is pleased to announce the addition of online event registration to the many services currently offered on the council website to our valued volunteers, units, districts, and committees.
Is your unit having unit budgeting problems or have questions about the Ideal Year of Scouting? We will be conducting a training Tuesday, June 29, 7-8pm at the Gerace Council Service Center to help you with your unit’s 12 month unit budget plan for meetings and events your unit is planning.
