The Lake Huron Area Council 2003 Pow Wow theme will be "Send in the Clowns".  You thought last year was silly?  Wait until you see what we have planned for you.  We will be offering more new sessions for Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venture leaders. 
Last year was an incredible event with over 170 adult Scouter participants and we promise that you will be even more impressed this year as we improve and grow.  If you haven't experienced Pow Wow in a while, don't miss this one.  Pow Wow is for all leaders and is designed to train you in your areas of interest.

Mark your calendar for noon on Monday, January 20, 2003 which is the federal holiday celebrating the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The Lake Huron Area Council is pleased to host the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Service Awards ceremony in conjunction with Pride of Saginaw, Consumers Energy Minority Employees Luncheon and Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity's celebration of the achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This event will begin with a march from the Reuben Daniels Learning Center to the Saginaw Plaza in Saginaw where a luncheon celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Saginaw Plaza and the presentation of the Dr. Whitney M. Young Service Awards for Urban Scouting will take place.  Scouting youth are encouraged to participate in the march and the Youth Symposium which will be held immediately following the march.  More information about this prestigious event will be in the next issue of the Scouter.
