Catholic Committee Hosts The Bishops Dinner

His Excellency, Bishop Joseph Cistone, was the guest of honor at the 2010 Saginaw Diocese Bishop’s Dinner on February 11, 2010.  The dinner was hosted by the Catholic Committee of the Lake Huron Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, and held at the Knights of Columbus #3590, in Auburn, MI.  The dinner program was attended by not only Bishop Cistone and Fr. Pete Gaspeny, of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Midland, but by adult leaders and Scouts in the Saginaw Diocese.

The program culminated in Bishop Cistone, assisted by Father Gaspeny, presenting the following religious awards to the Scouts who had earned them:

Light of Christ: Nicholas Lagazo, Ethan Dupeie, John White, Gabriel Looker, Adam Kielpinski

Parvuli Dei: Kyle Dengler, Trent Konwinski, Andrew Naert, Drennen Neil, Michael Polhill, Mario Rodriguez, Gabriel Soukup, Cole Windiate, Adam White, Shane Hogan, Aaron Kielpinski

Ad Altare Dei: Jonathan Becker, Brandon Ryan, Joe Ryan, Luke White, Austin Adamczyk, Bastien Auxer, Samuael Copus, Owen Deming, Caleb Kaczmarek, Mike Rivette

Pope Pius XII: Ryan Angus

Adults receiving awards were:

St George: Brian Nastase and Bernie Rabine

Bronze Pelican: Tim Angus, John Kneibel, Walt Bennett, Kim White and Martin Brennan
