Welcome to our 100th Year!

As the celebrations for our anniversary continue, the Lake Huron Area Council has planned its finale event -- the CENTURY OF TRADITION Council Encampment!

The Council Encampment (more than just a traditional Council Camporee) is set for September 24 – 26, 2010, at the Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena. (This was the sight of the 2,200-person event in 2004.)

The CRTC gives Scouts from our 19 counties and other Scout councils throughout the state opportunities never before available at previous council-wide events. Be a part of this experience.Celebrate the Adventure of our CENTURY OF TRADITION!

Bring your unit! Bring your Scouts! Bring your Venturers! Bring your adult leaders! Bring the parents! And . . . register early!

Because of national security and the event’s planning site, pre-registration and payment is a must.  We understand this may cause some difficulties with today’s youth, families and units and the busy lives we all lead. But, this is a site requirement. Plus, this gives the volunteers more accurate numbers as we move closer to the Encampment.

We hope this initial information packet provides details about the 100th Anniversary Council
