Lake Huron Area Council 2010 Recognition Dinner

Silver Beaver Award

The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.

The Silver Beaver is an award given to those who implement the Scouting program and perform community service through hard work, self sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service. It is given to those who do not actively seek it.

The Lake Huron Area Council is allowed to present  7 awards yearly or one award for every 50 Scouting units we have registered in our council.

Nomination forms are reviewed by a volunteer committee in early April each year and deserving candidates are selected.  The recipients are recognized at the annual council recognition dinner in June every year.  Nomination forms are due to the Gerace Scout Center by April 1st.  An application is available by following the council dinner link below.  For a listing of past Silver Beaver recipients, click here.
