The Qualifier Marathon and Half Marathon
Calling all Packs, Troops and Crews: May 20, 2012, save this very important date! The Great Lakes Bay Regional Trail, along with the Midland Community Center is sponsoring a qualifying marathon for the Boston Marathon. The Boy Scouts have been asked to help with the race. We see this as a great opportunity to show the presence of Scouting in the area and beyond. Our goal is to have over 1000 Scout volunteers! There will be free t-shirts for volunteers and camping along the race route. The Marathon starts in Midland, at the Dow Diamond and the 1/2 Marathon starts at Delta College with both finishing on Midland Street in Bay City. Race registration information can be found here
