Challenge Course Training, PBSR Saturday and Sunday, May 29 & 30, 2010

 

SAVE THE INSTRUCTOR FEE WHEN YOU BRING YOUR UNIT TO PBSR FOR CHALLENGE COURSE ACTIVITIES.  This course trains you (ADULT AGE 21 AND OVER) to be an Instructor on the four Challenge Course events at PBSR.  They are the Bouldering Wall, Climbing/Rappelling Tower, Spar Poles, and Canopy Tour Zip Line.  

 

Certification requires 24 hours of training, part of which you will complete prior to the course by reading materials sent to you.  Cost of the course is $49, which includes 5 meals and all materials.  Register at least a week in advance to receive course materials in a timely manner.

 

When a unit reserves the Challenge course at PBSR, the fee is $250 for the first 2 hours.  This includes use of all equipment, a Course Director, and an Instructor.  If you attend this training, you may serve as the Instructor, and the fee is reduced by $75.  Your training is current until the end of the calendar year, and may be renewed with regular  participation in Challenge course activities.
